CARE - The Girl Effect Charity Kit at Divine Digital

Happy Monday All!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Saturday we took the boys to a couple neighborhoods around town that have a reputation for having awesome Christmas lights displays. Wow! I couldn’t believe how awesome some of these houses looked, so much better than what I ever imagined.

This year is the first year the boys are really taking an interested in Christmas lights at night and they were so excited every time we got out of the truck to walk a neighborhood. I have a slide show below of some of the houses we visited; though my photos do not do these houses justice. The time and effort that people put in to their displays, all for others to enjoy, is so generous.

This weekend I also set up a new group on Facebook. If you join the group you can get a preview of upcoming kits, events, freebie, sale’s and more. Just click on the logo below to be directed to Facebook and join the group.

"I was walking one morning, when it started to rain. I recall feeling a raindrop, and I considered whether I had been the first to feel the initial one or had the privilege been given to someone else. Every storm must begin with a single drop of rain. And so it is with every worthwhile movement ... it begins with an idea that is too simple to be taken seriously...and then comes the storm." --Marco Caceres

Recently I was asked to participate in a charity kit for the charity, CARE. CARE has a project going right now called "The Girl Effect" which poses the question that if we just made an investment in ONE girl - we could really make a difference! You can click on the link below to watch a video to learn more about this wonderful charity.

Whether it's a Christmas gift for your husband, wife, child or friend, the act of giving is a show of love and appreciation. It also satisfies a basic need in all of us to please another. All too often, though, we forget about the larger purpose of giving, the purpose giving Christmas gifts to charity can fulfill.

Of course the act of giving a gift to a loved one or someone close to you has an immediate positive impact in seeing the joy on their face as they receive the gift and then them lighting up when they see how much you thought and cared to pick that particular gift for them.
